CREATING IMPACT
At To Choose, we are committed to not only showcasing exceptional contemporary art from Ghana, Nigeria and other parts of Africa but also creating a lasting IMPACT in the African art scene. We believe in the power of collaboration and actively seek opportunities to partner with artists, art institutions, corporate organizations, and individuals who share our vision. Through our IMPACT initiatives, we aim to support and empower artists from across the continent, fostering a vibrant and interconnected creative community.
ONGOING PROJECTS
What remains of us when everything else disappears? A growing ribbon of textiles, memories, and stories.
Together with artist Emmanuel Thieku, we have launched an art project that begins where our clothes end up: At Kantamanto Market in Ghana – the world’s largest textile dump. With every location – Ghana, Saxony, Munich – the ribbon grows, carrying new materials, identities, and questions.
At Fairconcept, we believe sustainability starts with mindset. That’s why we make it visible – through art, through reflection, through this project.

Art Beauties is an innovative platform that brings together artists from all 54 African countries.
By creating profiles and answering questions, artists can connect with fellow creatives, share their stories, and provide contact information for potential collaborators and admirers.
The primary goal of Art Beauties is to build a strong community where artists can recognize and support one another, setting the stage for meaningful artistic interventions.
In the future, we plan to expand the platform to include gamified experiences, allowing non-artists to engage with and appreciate the rich diversity of African art.
FUTURE PROJECTS
Ghana's Contemporary Art World Docuseries:
We are excited to announce our plans for a visually stunning docuseries that will unveil Ghana’s remarkable journey to global prominence in the contemporary art world. From pioneers like El Anatsui, who put Ghana on the map, to the young creative fusions driving future innovation, this series will offer an intimate look at the artists, their narratives, and the vibrant creative landscape of Ghana. We are actively seeking financing and production partners who are eager to bring these stories to premium international audiences, fostering prestige and a nuanced appreciation for Ghanaian art and culture.
PAST PROJECTS
From the beginning we developed local projects that create impact on local communities. Just before the global pandemic, one of the notable impact projects we undertook led us to Kissi in central coastal region of Ghana. There, we organized a workshop week with the first generation artists of gallery. The aim was to work with students on the critical issue of sustainability, particularly focusing on the use of plastic. Through discussions and excursions to coastal villages, where beautiful beaches are marred by staggering amounts of plastic waste, we raised awareness and inspired action. The knowledge and experiences gained during the workshop were transformed into five powerful works of art, created using the collected plastic waste. These artworks were auctioned as part of an exhibition on artsy.net, with all proceeds donated to charity. We are proud to have fully funded this impactful project, demonstrating our commitment to supporting artists and addressing pressing environmental concerns.
